This picture was taken on the best day of my life - our wedding day! This April we will be celebrating our one year anniversary and I can't believe how lucky I am!

I figured the best way to have an about page was to do 100 things about me...

1. I’m pug crazy (could you tell?)
2. on April 30, 2006 I will have been married one year
3. my wedding day was the best day ever – it was a dream come true
4. I have an amazing husband, who is also my best friend, Jerry
5. we met 4 years ago
6. one of my closest friends introduced us
7. I knew he was “the one” the first time we spoke to each other
8. We were engaged exactly one year before the wedding
9. we bought our house before we had ever lived together
10. we bought a “custom built” home – which everyone said would test our relationship
11. we passed with flying colors
12. we lived in our house 4 months before we got engaged
13. we hadn’t planned on getting Meimei when we did – it was fate
14. we got Meimei from a pet store
15. I mostly talked Jerry into it
16. we got Miko from a breeder
17. I don’t have an opinion on either way of getting your dog – because I wouldn’t have my girls if I did
18. my middle name is Rae
19. I have lived in Calgary all my life
20. I hate the Calgary Stampede and never go
21. I have barely traveled any where
22. I have an older brother
23. we get along really well
24. it wasn’t always that way
25. my parents are still together
26. my saddest day was my Grandpa’s funeral
27. My Grandma is an amazing, strong woman
28. I never knew my dad’s parents
29. I worked at Wendy’s for 3 years (during and after high school) and made my way up to assistant manager before I quit
30. I worked as a Court-runner after that
31. it was pretty fun
32. now I work as a legal assistant
33. I got my diploma through correspondence
34. and then worked my way up the ladder at different law firms
35. I am still paying off student loan debts
36. even though I don’t have a degree
37. I am afraid of heights
38. I live 30 minutes from the Rocky Mountains and see them every day
39. I don’t like to ski because of the heights thing
40. I fear bridges too
41. Jerry and I are big fans of Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly)
42. Our first dance was to a song that was on a Buffy episode
43. It is “Wild Horses” by the Sundays
44. We are big geeks – but it’s ok cause we are geeks together
45. We are totally into Grey’s Anatomy right now!
46. I’m also a closet Gilmore Girls fan
47. I’m horrible at math
48. But quick to learn almost anything
49. I love to read
50. And try to be creative with making things with my hands
51. I did gymnastics when I was a kid
52. and sucked at it cause of the heights thing
53. and a fear of breaking bones!
54. I was a Brownie and a girl guide when I was a kid
55. I became a leader for girl guides after high school and did it for 7 years
56. I wanted to be a teacher when I was growing up
57. I don’t think I want kids of my own
58. I feel like Karma plays a big factor in how I live my life
59. I have be known to be lucky
60. My first car was a Chrysler New Yorker “E” Class
61. it blew black smoke out of the exhaust
62. I used to get a lot of speeding tickets
63. then my insurance was cancelled on me
64. and now I am a more responsible driver
65. we own a Pontiac Vibe
66. I worked at a personal injury law firm
67. and it was an eye opener on how quickly things in life can change
68. I try to appreciate all people and things in my life
69. I am mostly a positive person – always looking on the bright side
70. but I also can be very cynical
71. I hate pickles – or more specifically the smell/taste of Dill
72. I am a chocoholic
73. This May 30 I will be 28
74. My husband is 4 ½ years older than me
75. We make our bed every morning
76. Both our dogs sleep with us
77. We are both home-bodies
78. We both love to shop
79. I have never learned to play an instrument – but would love to learn piano
80. I refuse to drink “old” water
81. I wish I liked yogurt, but I can’t stand it
82. I’m a big breakfast person – I usually have cereal
83. but French toast with a side of bacon is the best
84. I lived on my own when I was 20
85. I got a cat – and then found out I was allergic to cats (as well as horses)
86. I find it hard to accept help with anything from anyone
87. I was a receptionist for 3 years so I now I don’t like talking to people on the phone
88. I’d rather email
89. I wish I could be a published writer
90. I try to be organized
91. but tend to be lazy
92. I can fall asleep anywhere
93. I usually wear contacts but sometimes I wear my glasses
94. I love my dogs very much
95. I would really like to dedicate more of my life to pugs and rescue
96. I would love to live somewhere with a huge yard
97. so Jerry could put in a skateboard ramp
98. and I could have a bunch of dogs running around
99. but I think I might have to win the lottery to do that
100. this was harder than I thought it would be!
